Counselling for Adults, Online or In-Person in BC

Jennifer Taylor, M.A., RCC (she/her)

Internal Family Systems Therapist (Level 3) · EMDR Therapist

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 25 years of experience, supporting adults across British Columbia through a range of concerns, including anxiety and depression, relationship difficulties, grief and life transitions, and trauma. I bring a compassionate, collaborative style, drawing on therapeutic approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR when they’re a good fit for what you’re working through. Sessions are offered online across BC, or in-person at my office in Mill Bay, Vancouver Island.

Is This You?

  • You’re looking for support as you navigate whatever’s going on in your life right now, and want a steady, experienced person alongside you.
  • Certain patterns keep showing up, in how you react, how you relate to others, or how you feel about yourself, and you’re ready to understand them differently.
  • You notice different “parts” of yourself in conflict, like the part that shuts down, the part that people-pleases, or the part that panics, and you’re ready to work with them directly.
  • Something from your past still feels present, even if you can’t always name why.
  • You want real, lasting change.

Wherever you’re starting from, I meet you there.

How I Work

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, intuitive, and non-pathologizing. You are never broken, just carrying protective patterns that once made sense and can now be gently updated.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you understand and work with the different “parts” of yourself such as the protector, the inner critic, the wounded younger part, so they can unburden old pain instead of running the show.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain fully process traumatic or distressing memories, so they stop feeling as raw, intrusive, or present.

I often draw on both within the same course of therapy, tailoring the blend to what each client needs.
