FAQ

Will my confidentiality be protected?

All client files are kept in a locked file folder in a secured area. Everything you tell me is confidential, unless it meets one of these conditions: harm to yourself or another, child being abused or subpoenaed by a court of law.

Not at this time. All sessions are online at https://jennifertaylor.janeapp.com/ at this time.

What Hours are you available?

To which geographical areas do you provide counselling?

Due to Canadian counsellor regulation, Jennifer only provides counselling to clients who reside in the Canadian provinces/territories of BC, SK, MB, NL & L, YT, NU, or NT.

What are your therapeutic modalities?

Internal Family Systems Therapy and EMDR.

What is your fee?

Current fees can be seen here: https://jennifertaylor.janeapp.com/

The fee is due by e-transfer immediately following the session. Once the payment has been reconciled, the invoice link will provide a link to the payment receipt if needed for submission to extended health benefits.

Fees are subject to an annual cost of living increase (approximately $5 annually).

Will my insurance cover your service?

Please check with your insurer to confirm that they cover Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs). You will first pay the invoice yourself, then submit the receipt to your insurer for reimbursement.

Do you offer a sliding scale fee?

All sliding scale spots are full at this time.

Do you work with CVAP

Yes, I provide direct billing to CVAP. Please provide your authorization/Claim Number.

Do you work with ICBC/FNHA?

Not at this time.

What is your cancellation policy?

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed appointment leaves a space in the day that could have been filled by another client. As such, I require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or reschedules. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice will still be required to pay the full fee. This includes clients whose fees are paid by third parties who do not cover missed appointments.
